Print, Pattern and Graphic Designer Amy Fish
Amy fish has a passion for all things design and particularly loves showcasing her creative mindset through print and pattern design. Since gaining her Textile design degree at the University of Leeds in 2011, Amy’s ambition has been to break into the industry; her degree has allowed her skills to develop into graphical print designs using adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
Having had experience through freelance work for various big business and nightclubs around Manchester, Amy has since had valuable experience for MMS Media. This experience allowed her to build her knowledge of the whole design process from idea to print. Amy is also fresh from working with Zizzi, where she completed a design commission of a wall mural alongside six tabletop designs for their new restaurant (see below).
The past three summers have also seen her freelance for Droylsden Academy with both designing and producing subject-based classroom displays for teaching and student work. This was rewarded through a contact working as a technician for the new academy which opened in January of this year.
“This has been valuable experience for me, working with many different briefs, situations, people and materials. It is this experience together with my design skills and hard-working personality, that has allowed me to work to different briefs, with a professional attitude to time management to ensure the job was executed to the best of my ability within the specific time frame.”
